The STD is a perfect do everything bike, it's acquired a lot of names. The kids out in Cali call it "Short Travel Downhill." The Brits simply sum it up as the "Standard" i.e. the standard by which all freeride bikes should be measured. The STD is a 7.5-inch freeride version of our super successful DH bike, but with the linkage engineered for optimized pedaling and a bottomless feeling shock progression. The STD features a super stiff 1.5 head tube to run a single crown fork and an un-interrupted seat tube. The bike is all about fun, so you might as well have fun with the Acronym too; like "It's the only STD on the planet that's more fun after you get it than while you get it."
